Well it is that season again!! Weddings! I dont know why in most cases, people often chose their wedding in between the month of October- December.
I also do not know whether it is just in Africa or the World at large, I tend to think it is because it has the fairest of weather, compared to other seasons, it is when the stars show up most in the skies, it is also the home for wet-cool kind of weather, well and I say, I love the season too, I mean it almost that time when schools closes earlier than other semesters, also the time when Christmas (my Favourite season!), happens to beckon.
Well enough with advertising the season, already. This weekend 10-12th of October, I attended a wedding ,my beautiful cousin,Shiru was wedding cyrus! I not only attended the wedding but was also a bride’s maid!Oh yes! After such a long time ,missing out in the weddings VIP lane, well I can sure say weddings can be fun! I was all up and down on the 10th of October, I was so nervous, it was like I was the bride, lol, I know, crazy! Nails? Check! Hair? Check! Fitting in the dress,Check! My mood? Check! Oops! and the bride? Check!! She was there. We did all this as we had a spend over at the bride’s home, as it is always the tradition….mama always told me it is to ensure she has all she needs, she has company on her last night as a spinster and also so that she does not get kidnapped! wink* wink*.
Well, we were done with all,the sun went down,we were all tired and sleepy so we all retired to our beds and wallah! the 11th was here!
I was the first to wake up that morning, told you, I was nervous as though I was the one getting married, lol,I know ,crazy!
We took showers in turns, had breakfast, I was warned not to wear the dress before breakfast to avoid any unwanted messes, which In obeyed.
The bride was prepared, and she looked exemplary more beautiful that day, but I did not expect any less, I mean, it was her day.
This is a photo of Shiru, before she became Mrs. Cyrus,breathe- taking!
I had the best time in the wedding than I could ever remember in a wedding, from the Garden Church, to the creative photo shoot, to the garden reception, it was just simply amazing!!
So, if you are planning a wedding break the monotony, try a garden wedding, just ensure you chose a spacious enough kind of a garden this way you can accommodate the church area as well as the reception area without any hustle.

Most fundamental tip I learnt from the planning of an outdoor wedding is….’always have a backup plan’.
