Don’t joke against the word

By -

Some Christians in their confessions are sometimes positive and other times negative. This is the reason they experience ups and downs in their lives. Many times we make defence of what we say by saying….’I did not mean what I said’, or ‘I was only joking when I said that.’
Well it is important to note that the Bible in Mark 11:23 Jesus did not say ‘You shall have whatsoever you mean: He said…’You shall have whatsoever you say.’
If you really must make a joke, let it be positive. Don’t joke against the word, under whatever circumstance. Don’t make careless statements for they will produce results for you. Its ok to ask yourself why it is that in the beginning of the World…God made everything He wanted by word of mouth and yes it came to existence. Words are powerful in Christ.
If a man’s words are confusing then his life will be confusing. This is why you must say only what you mean, and be sure it is in consistence with the word. In Mathew 12;36-37 it says ‘But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.’
So in view of all this, if a man’s words are wholesome, so will his life be: wholesome. Watch what you say my beloved!

Like always, best wishes.
