Are You Using Your Spiritual Gift?

By -

Halo beloved. I know it has been a while, but I am back. Today I would like to take you through spiritual gifts that each one of us possesses. By each, I mean every one of us has a spiritual gift that is meant to make a difference in the world.
Let’s starts off with; what are spiritual gifts? How can I know mine? Well, let Romans 12: 6-8 guide you. And I quote……..
6 ‘So we are to use our different gifts in accordance with the grace that God has given us. If our gift is to speak God’s message, we should do it according to the faith that we have; 7if it is to serve, we should serve; if it is to teach, we should teach; 8if it is to encourage others, we should do so. Whoever shares with others should do it generously; whoever has authority should work hard; whoever shows kindness to others should do it cheerfully.’
It doesn’t matter what you do. If our spirit is serving, serve. Even being a gate man of a flag man in church or anywhere else is serving. To men it may look small and a little too much, but to God, He sees it distinctively. Remember God sees you in a way no man can.
We are called Christians because we follow the ways of Christ Jesus our Lord. So what Spiritual Gift did Jesus have? Did he use it? Isaiah 61: 1-2 and I quote…
61 The Sovereign LORD has filled me with his Spirit.
He has chosen me and sent me
To bring good news to the poor,
To heal the broken-hearted,
To announce release to captives
And freedom to those in prison.
2 He has sent me to proclaim
That the time has come
When the LORD will save his people
And defeat their enemies.
He has sent me to comfort all who mourn,
Jesus used this passage to describe why He came and His deepest desire for humanity. And yes, He used his gift. He showed humanity to mankind, by dying for their sin. So that you and I can be saved. How better can one show humanity? The manner in which God loves us is indescribable. Further reading for spiritual gifts include 1st Corinthians 12:5-11 and 1st Corinthians 12;11-13,27.
I hope that as you go through these verses you get to reflect it in your life and get to know what your spiritual gift is and ensure that you use it. Yes you are that important. The World needs it, the World needs you!
Share this with anyone you want to bless.See you in my next post. Peace and Love! xoxo
