5 Natural face masks for great skin!

Our face is the first thing that identifies who we are. It therefore plays a vital role in our lives and ought to be well taken care of; they say if you look good, you feel great. I couldn’t agree more.
Here are some of the natural ways I use to cleanse my face from all the dirt and ensure that the skin looks beautiful.

Pawpaw: the magical effect of the papaya on our skin is amazing! Here are the ways you can use paw paws for better skin.
 Take a pawpaw and crush into a bowl and apply the paste on         your   face and let it lie there for about 10-15 minutes- Until it dries. Then rinse of and apply moisturizer, your skin will thank you for that.
 Take a pawpaw again crush and put a tablespoon of honey and form a mixture, (honey is great in taking away grease as well as dead) apply this to your face and the honey’s stick nature will help keep it glued to your skin. Let it lay there for about 5-10 minutes and rinse off, your face will feel great.

 Potato: Take a clean potato and peel off the outer skin and slice it into round partitions. Use this to cover up your entire face. Leave this on your skin for about 20-30 minutes. Make sure you are relaxed and lying down, to prevent them from falling off your face. Rinse off and apply your moisturizer as usual. Try do this at least once or twice a week.
 Cucumber; this is one of the most popularly used fruit. This is because it is not only great with skin’s radiance but also helps to reduce puffy eyes. Slice the cucumber in circles, apply on your face and let them lay there for about 30 minutes and then rinse out with water and pat dry.
 Lemon: this is mainly used by people prone to acne, as it helps reduce the appearance of the black scars as it acts as natural bleach to the scars. Lemon can cause irritation and hence one is advised not to go in the open sun with Lemon on their skin. Cut the lemon into two pieces, squeeze out the juice and apply this juice on the scars. If directly applied lemon affects your skin, I advise that you put a mixture of lemon and water in equal amounts and rub this (in circular motion) onto your skin. Let it lie for about 5-10 minutes, rinse off and apply moisturizer.

Aloe vera: This is my all-time favourite, though it smells bad, is annoyingly sticky, it does wonders to your skin. My mum has been using this for almost ten years and her skin is noticeably younger looking as well as alive. Cut up an aloe vera, yes I mean the raw and fresh aloe vera. Gently rub the aloe vera gel on your face and allow it to sit for about 5-10 minute, then wash off and rinse. Apply your moisturizer or any whichever cream that you always use. Aloe vera helps to repair the skin and also helps with dark spots as well as taking off the dead skin on your face.

I recommend that you try one of the above face masks that you think will best work for you about 2-3 times a week and you will most likely notice a new radiance in your skin.
Remember as good as they are on our outer skin, so are they on our inner skin, so include them in your daily diet. Have fun trying them out.
